There is a Pandora necklace lying on the left corner of my desk, where I rarely go to touch.
Pandora, used to be the jewelry brand I loved best. Two years ago, I usually went to a Pandora jewellery shop to look for some nice and interesting necklaces, rings, bracelets, anklets, and so on. But now, everything is changed. I hardly go to buy a Pandora product, because I would be grievous and regretful if I meet them.
Two years ago, I was still a university student. It was a summer vacation that I went to London to visit my friend Lily. We went shopping together and enjoy ourselves in London.
Before I left her home, Lily gave me a beautiful box. With surprise and excitement, I opened the box. What was it that came to my eyes? It was a necklace of Pandora. A few days ago, when shopping with Lily, I found my favourite Pandora. However, it was too expensive for me to afford it. As a result, I had to give it back to the closet with a pity.
When did Lily go to buy one for me? It was really a surprise, a big surprise, a super surprise! How excited and happy I was!
With great thankfulness, I went back to school. Then the unhappy and terrible thing happened.
My roommate, Aaryn was fond of the necklace too. It was just her birthday that day, but I had forgot to buy a gift for her. Before I said sorry, Aaryn spoke, “Dear, I love you so much! You have chosen a great present for my birthday! Thank you very much!”
What could I say? Told her the truth? I had promised to take a present for her in London, if I told her the truth, maybe she would be angry and we might fail to get touch with each other as well as before.
Therefore, I just said nothing about that, and told a cheat to Lily that I lost the necklace carelessly. Luckily, Lily didn’t mind it at all.
But, unexpectedly, Lily came to my school three month later. And she found my lie by chance. At that time, she was so angry and disappointed at me that she left for London without a word. Everything was end, irreversibly.
It was a sorrow that Lily was not able to forgive my mistake, what’s worse, she refused to contact with me from then on.
A Pandora necklace, an unexpected mistake, I lost a friend! How regretful and remorse I am!
