101 Ways to Make Money - from Twitter

Abstract: Many ways to make money have been introduced in previous articles. But things are changing, you know, it is never a bad thing for us to learn something new and get more ways to make money. Today another way in making money is through twitter. (Although you still have to wait for some time before it does work)

Many economists now try to figure out that whether twitter people can make money on twitter. If do, then when and how? Yeah, the majority of us have taken particular joy in lambasting one of our favorite social networks for absorbing investor dollars like a black hole. And it is now the turn of Twitter.

And it is reported that, Anamitra Banerji, the head of product management and monetization at Twitter, has confirmed that the service is working on an advertising platform. This is following a panel on interactive advertising hosted by Seth Goldstein, CEO of socialmedia.com, where Banerji reportedly unveiled Twitter's plans in a relatively vague fashion.

And as what was said by Goldstein and MediaPost, the plan is to let brands and companies interact with consumers and capitalize on trending topics (but it seems that they already can do this now?), and also to ensure that the delivered content is "relevant and useful." Banji also pointed out that at the begin, the ads would appear in the form of hash tags to distinguish from tweets so as to ensure that developers were working on a better solution.

Although no exact date has been given, it's been reported that it will launch soon. In addition, it is also expected that an official announcement will come soon as well. The revenue source is slightly surprising since founder Biz Stone dismissed the notion in May of 2009 when speaking to CNET. However, the "ad platform" may just be the first part of the plan for corporate accounts and analytics tools that Stone promised in an interview with VentureBeat back in August.

Every coin has two sides. And if Twitter is full of ads and "corporate accounts," it could drive away many users. But for now, we'll just have to trust that the micro-blogging service knows exactly what it is doing and will stick to do it. Now just wait for the official Twitter developer conference and hope that it will have a great plan about how the new platform will go.

Whatever, you should beleive that some day you can make money on twitter.
