1. Don't focus much on the job description

The employers know better about the job you apply and it's unwise to copy the job description the employers offered in their job information. You should talk about your advantages in the job role that you apply. Also, you should give positive examples on your former working experiences and how the company you worked before profited from your contributions.

2. Talk about how you do a better job than others

What's the biggest challenge you and your team once faced and how did you get through? What did you do in the case and how did your company get benefits from your behavior? Give detailed description about the problem while not reveal the business secrets of your former company.

3. Have you ever gained promotion or praise before?

Be honest if you gain nothing before. But if you did get some, write them on the letter with detailed information.

4. Job goal should neither too showy nor too plain

Some people give a meaningless start of the job application letter, like "a challenged work will spurs me to work hard as well as provides me space to improve myself." Try to give some more down-to-earth and detailed goal, for example, tell the employers what goal you want to achieve in your third month, sixth month, first year, second year, third year and fifth year.

5. A too short or too long letter

Someone try to compress their self introduction and working experience in one paper because some professionals said it's better provide a job application letter no more than one paper. However, by doing this, it makes the letter less impressive. On the other hand, have empty talk is also annoying. So, when you are writing a job application letter, ask yourself: will these information help? And if you get a yes-saying, then keep it and vice versa.
