The company and employers are very particular what to exclude in a resume. Everyone wants to write a good resume and make sure that everything can be included in the resume. As a matter of fact, the resume just needs a comprehensive information about yourself and something unnecessary shouldn't be included. Unprofessional language, non-pertinent information and too many details will make people feel bored and you can easily receive a rejection. Here are several things need to be avoided in a resume.

1.    Overly general skill descriptions.
In your resume, you'd better write the concrete skills related to the position you are applying for and exclude the irrelevant information in your resume. That means your resume should be to the point so that the employers can grasp the key information. If you have many skills and then pick those that are more important to write in the resume.

2.    Physical or personal details.
It is completely wrong that if you include descriptions about your physical health, appearance, etc. It is not only that you should respect other people's privacy and make sure that your privacy is highly respected. Not everyone is willing to see the details of you. They are truly unacceptable in writing the resume.

3.    Common tasks within the work history.
Sometimes, people need to write the work history in the resume to give the employer a better understanding of yourself. It is acceptable if you write work history but don't write every single aspect of every position.

4.    Non-pertinent closing sections.
Don't ignore the importance of the closing sections because it is very important too. Except for the education and professional certifications, some people would like to write the hobbies and personal interests which seems to be fine. When you have question what to write, ask yourself that is the information you are writing has something to do with the position you are applying for. If the answer turns out to be NO, so exclude it.
