What Is Resume Keywords?
Resume keywords refer to words or phrases hiring managers use to search through applicant database to select candidates.

Why Should I Contain Keywords in My Resume?
In former lessons, we say that it is better to use action words, such as "created and implemented marketing campaign", to explain the capability you have. With the emergence of databases, there is a new requirement – keywords – to the resume. Therefore, you need to write more than action words to get more chance to be searched and win an interview.

How to Find Resume Keywords?
When develop your list of resume keywords, take a look at job postings. Search the list of jobs that match your skills or that you want to apply for. Then incorporate the words used in these job postings into your resume. The so-called keywords are those job-related, professional, creative, accurate words.

Resume Keywords Checklist:
1. Job title: the job title of the job you are applying for
2. The standard job titles of your previous and current jobs
3. The professional tool you use in jobs or that your are qualified to use, such as MRI images.
4. Software or hardware you use, particularly if the job you are applying for has the requirement, such as Photo Shop, CAD.
5. The industry organizations you have took part in
6. Shows and conferences that you have attended and that is related to the job
7. Related or required courses, certificate or the same that you have
8. Common insider words, acronyms, terms or jargon

Some Tips:
1. Acronyms
If you use acronyms in your resume, please include the phrases that explain it in another sentence. If possible, try to use the two forms as you can, to increase the chance your resume will appear in the search result of the recruiter.

2. Add a keywords section
Add a section named "skills" or, even "keywords" to concentrate on your keywords. For example, the following section is really collection of keywords to summarize the skill as well as experience.
